Winery Tsarev Brod is located in the village of Tsarev Brod, Shumen Region, near the Madara Horseman, which is a World Heritage of UNESCO. Project cellar began back in 2001 when the family agronomists planted the first vine acres of farm reaching at present to 27 hectares. Structures, buildings and cellar are rising fast, but perennials require time and systematic care.
After eight campaigns vintage grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir is tested under various conditions of vinification of leading Bulgarian wineries. Thus, when in 2015 the vineyard reaches the optimum stage of its growth, gathered a team of specialists in all these eight years have been close to the processing of grapes, knowing its technological features.
The land for the cultivation of vineyards are located in the village of Tsarev Brod, Shumen region. The average altitude of the area is 250 meters. This determines the varietal composition. Vine planting material is produced in Bulgaria. This is an important message to all growers and winemakers to explore and contribute to the effective use of science in Bulgaria for the vine, for its storage and recovery. It is envisaged that by 2018 be planted another 18 hectares with some varieties Bulgarian selection.
